The Modern Athlete website is built on WordPress, and features a comprehensive feature set for the publisher to place ads on the website with ease. It allows ads to be placed into groups that can be automatically embedded into news stories, as well as predefined zones throughout the site. As a magazine that is distributed to it’s readers for free, advertising is an important income stream to enable to creation of the content, and so the system we put in place is friendly and easy, and stats are useful and easy to act upon.
